Looking after battery risk

Vehicle and industrial batteries are considered a hazardous waste as they contain substances and heavy metals (mercury, cadmium, lead, lithium, nickel). They are a potential environmental risk and a cause of soil and water pollution.

Batteries also pose a significant fire risk so must be stored carefully on premises. IMR  supply customers with approved containers for the safe storage of used batteries. Batteries are then transported in accordance with ADR regulations and waste management legislation to our licensed facilities for compliant disposal.
